Donald Trump fires campaign manager
Republican Presidential Candidate in high spirits of emerging successful at the upcoming November elections has laid off his controversial campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski in a bid to contend with his strongest opponent, Hillary Clinton.
Corey Lewandowski, who managed Trump’s campaign from the onset and was acknowledged for Trump’s initial breakthrough in the primaries has recently been dropped and replaced with a more experienced political operative.
Hope Hicks, a spokeswoman revealed to the New York Times that Lewandowski stirred up controversy earlier this year over a March run-in with a reporter at a Trump rally.
She further alleged that she was bruised when he assaulted her, but he refuted the claims. When Florida prosecutors investigated the case, they opted to drop all charges against him.
“The Donald J. Trump Campaign for President, which has set a historic record in the Republican primary having received almost 14 million votes, has today announced that Corey Lewandowski will no longer be working with the campaign” she said.
“The campaign is grateful to Corey for his hard work and dedication and we wish him the best in the future.” she added.
According to a reliable source, Trump is on the lookout to adjust his strategy to suit the Republican national convention in mid-July.
There was no definite terms of Corey’s departure by the Republican team.
